Casa de los Angelitos

Karinas’ Story of Strength, Resilience and Starting Over

Coming to Casa here in California all the way from Florida was one of the most impactful decisions I have made. I came here seeking a safe, stress-free, stable, and supportive environment that would help guide me through my transition and allow me to establish myself in California during and after my pregnancy.

Since arriving, I have been able to maintain employment, prepare for the birth of my baby, save money, and create a plan for our future. I have also focused on personal growth by setting educational and career goals while learning how to become a stronger, more independent mother and woman.

In addition, my time here has helped me reconnect with God and strengthen my faith. Through the support, encouragement, and values promoted within the home, I have found comfort in my relationship with God during a season that could have easily felt overwhelming. My faith has given me hope, peace, and the strength to keep moving forward, and I am grateful for the opportunity to grow spiritually alongside my personal growth.

Casa has provided me with resources, guidance, and a sense of community that have helped me through one of the most challenging seasons of my life. I can truly say this place has been a safe haven during a time of uncertainty. If you are ever in need of support, encouragement, and stability, this is a place where you can find it. I believe other young women can greatly benefit from coming here because it offers the opportunity to build a strong foundation for a successful future for both themselves and their children.
