Volunteer Mentor

Join Casa de Los Angelitos in supporting pregnant women experiencing homelessness. As a volunteer mentor, you’ll offer encouragement, guidance, and stability—helping mothers-to-be gain confidence and prepare for independence.

What You’ll Do

  • Build a trusting, supportive one-on-one relationship with a resident.
  • Provide encouragement and a compassionate listening ear.
  • Support residents in setting goals for housing, parenting, education, and work.
  • Help navigate appointments, resources, and everyday life skills.
  • Check in regularly—either in person or virtually.
  • Work with Casa staff to ensure residents receive coordinated care.

What We’re Looking For

  • A caring heart and genuine desire to uplift women in crisis.
  • Reliable, patient, and a good listener.
  • Commitment to 4–6 months of regular mentoring (longer is even better).
  • Willingness to complete orientation and a background check.
  • Experience in mentorship, social services, or maternal health is welcome but not required.

Why Mentor with Casa?

Your presence can transform a young mother’s journey. By showing up with empathy and consistency, you help her feel seen, supported, and capable of building a brighter future for herself and her child.

We provide full training, resources, and ongoing support—so you’ll never walk alone in this work either.
